Apart from having your back through countless days of pouring rain, windy boat trips and adventurous walks by the shore, the Whyra anorak is created with an important purpose: to be recycled. It is made in a mono-material design, meaning that the fabric is easier to recycle since it doesn’t have to be separated. The jacket’s materials are all made in polyester, from the mesh lining to the laminated surface. What is also unique with Whyra is that the materials are 100% solution dyed. Solution dye is a dyeing technique that saves up to 80% water compared to conventionally dyed fabric in the same kind of material.
We wanted to push our limits with Whyra, and challenge the standard ways of designing a sporty, functional jacket. So, we made an anorak without any trims. This makes for a lighter jacket that is easy to pack for your escapades and is also one of the important features that makes it so easy to recycle. Whyra is a trim free jacket, anorak style, with an oversized fit. It has a soft, light woven ripstop fabric with a matte surface. A big reflex logo at the back of collar. Two smaller front pockets. Reflective prints at the front chest and back shoulder. The jacket is fully waterproof and windproof with all seams taped for a 100% waterproof construction. PFC-free water repellent finish.
