With every year, Tunisia attracts more and more visitors curious to discover its historic cities, ancient ruins, distant oases, beautiful Mediterranean beach and friendly people.  With luxurious hotels and inexpensive seaside resorts, Tunisia has something to offer for each pocket, large or small. Also, Tunisia is increasingly popular with couple and honeymooners, which is not surprising. This North African country offers a diversity of landscapes and lots of unique attractions for very decent prices. Zarziz

This coastal town in the Eastern part of Tunisia was blessed with a beautiful location and gorgeous weather. Zarziz seems to have been inhabited since aicient times, even before the arrival or Romans. Of particular interest are its olive groves – Zarziz is an important player on the olive oil market – and ports. The pleasant climate of Zarziz has also favored tourism, which is why you will find numerous beach resorts in and around Zarzis.

Tabarka

It’s hard to imagine a more romantic setting than that of an old Genoese fortress, located on a tall cliff on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. But scenic landscapes are not the only things you can find in the Tunisian town of Tabarka. This town is also a premiere scuba-diving destination, and one of the few places to have its own underwater photography festival.

Hammamet

One of Tunisia’s hottest tourist spots, Hammamet has everything you would expect from a North-African city: a nice medina with mosques and souks, an old fortress, a shopping district and several beaches. A short drive from Tunnis, Hammamet is now known primarily as a resort city, hence the numerous hotels. The Hammamet beach is large, with golden sands and plenty of visitors, but it is one of the best you can find in Tunisia.

Gammarth

Those looking to spoil themselves or enjoy a romantic beach vacation together with their better half should definitely check out Gammarth, one of Tunisia’s best known luxury resorts.

While its luxurious hotels, spas and villas offer enough incentives to visit Gammarth, it should also be noted that Gammarth is close to both Tunis and the famous ruins of Carthage, which means that you won’t be missing the big city life or the thrill of excursions. The surroundings of Gammarth are exceptional, with several kilometers of golden beaches and a beautiful forest that has natural park status.
